Children and Nature Info

1. KidsandNature.org

This is the website of the Leave No Child Inside Central Ohio Collaborative. Two years ago (in 2006), while seeing Richard Louv speak at the Columbus Metropolitan Club, my friend and I witnessed the passion that people in Columbus, Ohio have for this issue. We said to each other, “Wouldn’t it be great to get everyone who is passionate about children and nature in the same room for a day?” In 2007 I finally made a call to some friends to help me organize the first annual Leave No Child Inside Central Ohio Collaborative Summit. Thirty-five organizations from central Ohio attended. The Collaborative was born at this summit. I now co-chair the Collaborative with Alice Hohl. Alice does a great job of keeping this website updated. You will find important information on the local and national Children and Nature Movement here.

2. ChildrenandNature.org

The official site for the Children and Nature network that Richard Louv helped co-found. You can find information on what is happening nationally with the Children and Nature Movement. You can also find Volume I and II of the research that has been done thus far on this issue. This is a GREAT site and resource. I visit it every day.

3. www.lncigc.org

This is the website for Leave No Child Inside Greater Cincinnati. This group has inspired our Collaborative here in central Ohio.
